SPDC's affairs of the heart running the administration

By Ko Htike

SPDC spread the rumour to the general public on the departure of Minister for Ministry of Construction Maj.Gen. Saw Tun from cabinet. It was reported due to health problems but the whole nation knows the true story behind the case.

Maj.Gen. Saw Tun is at the top of the list among other Generals as a womanizer champion in contrast to his advanced age (he is the oldest General after Than Shwe and Maung Aye) and finally his own legitimate wife Daw Myint Myint Ko could not stand him anymore therefore she personally filed the complain direct to Dictator Than Shwe. Than Shwe had no choice but to take action and Saw Tun was removed from office.

The daughter of one of the Construction Department heavy vehicle driver, Ngun Zar Htwe was initially noticed by the Minister because of her voice as she used to sing for the Ministry’s propaganda, ending up as the favourite lover of the old General. She was in the payroll of the Ministry as a daily wages worker at the beginning as she had not passed the 10th standard exam by then. She gradually passed the examination and studied at Monywa University of Economic. Upon graduation, she was immediately appointed as Staff Officer overtaking many senior officers. She recently was about to be promoted to the rank of Assistant Director but the removal of her lover general has caused her downfall too.

As a privilege for being the General’s lover, all her close family and relatives of almost 30 persons were appointed as service personnel under the Ministry payroll. Good character friends with skills within the hospitality were also in the payroll and he provided them with their own bank account with large cash deposits deposited by the old General himself. In return, they all were standing by for whenever the aging General required their services and companionship.

Among the selected beauties, some faded away if they could not keep good relationships with Ngun Zar Htwe, some tried to grab the top post from Ngun Zar Htwe but could not compete. Ngun Zar Htwe is still a junior in her department and knows nothing about her work but none of her seniors dare to challenge her because of some previous example as those who dare to complain were transferred to remote areas.

General Saw Tun is famous not only for womanizing but he is an expert in bribery. SPDC members consider him the richest person in the gang. He is at the top as the longest serving minister in the cabinet.

When the Innwa Bridge was built, most of the contracts were awarded to his family relatives and affiliates. That bridge was notoriously known for not being up to building standards because of too much pilferage and usage of non-quality materials. We heard that the Than Shwe family were also involved in the construction of that Bridge. During the preparations for the opening ceremony of the bridge the very brave and arrogant Lt. Gen. Ye Myint (drugs trafficker) would not dare to cross the bridge by foot because the bridge was terribly shaky under the slight breeze. Ye Myint safely retreated half way through his walk from the bridge.

No one dared to take action against Gen. Saw Tun because of Than Shwe’s involvement in taking bribes for the building of that bridge. When the Military Intelligent Chief, General Khin Nyunt was in post, he tried to take action against Saw Tun many times but end up failing due to Dictator Than Shwe’s protection because both come from the same place at Kyaukse and probably have some unknown relationships and or give and take agreements between them.

This time Than Shwe has no choice because Saw Tun’s wife complained with evidence of his adulterous behaviour with Ngun Zar Htwe on the 12 days trip to Myitkyinar and Putao.

Since Saw Tun’s departure, his unofficial wife, lovers and associates ended up being slaughtered in vengeance with many followers of Saw Tun who were terminated from positions and some arrested. It was learnt that those kicked away by Saw Tun have been reinstated to their positions.

This is only a very small event among the circle of the very ugly SPDC and associates. They grab the power from people supported by guns and weapons to rule the country by such; unqualified, immoral and corrupted Generals. No wonder Burma has ended up in the middle of the world as the poorest and least developed country. Shame of you all Generals and supporters of SPDC.
